FAQs for Transformation in the Time of Coronavirus

Q: What is the time commitment? How is the course structured? Will there be a live component to the course?

A: For the initial roll-out of this course, we will be releasing a new lesson every week for 10 weeks, so there will be 10 total lessons. If you choose to follow along with the roll-out, the course will be 10 weeks. You will be able to register anytime as the course is being rolled out, or even after the courses are fully released, in which case you may complete the lessons at your own pace. The lessons are pre-recorded videos about an hour in length, and lessons are accompanied by activities that will take additional time that will be variable. In addition to the video lessons and activities, there will be a scheduled weekly webinar you may attend. If you are unable to attend the live sessions, they will be recorded and made available to you as part of the course.

Q: How will the live lessons be scheduled? I live in a different time zone/have a hectic schedule; will I be able to participate?

A: We will do our best to accommodate all time zones and schedules in regards to the webinar offering. Sophie Sabbage is located in the UK, and webinars will be scheduled to accommodate her and guest trainers’ availability, but we will do our best to schedule to suit diverse needs.

Q: How might I get help with technical issues, course questions, or accessibility assistance should I need it during the course?

A: We have a course team that will be working behind the scenes and on the community forum to support you. Should you need help during the course, you may email [email protected]

Q: How similar is this course to other More To Life courses?

A: This course is designed by Senior Trainer Sophie Sabbage. This course employs many of the same processes taught in the More To Life Weekend, but are taught with special attention to the context of the current global lifeshock, COVID-19. If you have taken a More To Life Weekend or Launchpad, you will be familiar with some of the processes, but the course will still be a unique experience for you. If you have not taken a More To Life Weekend or Launchpad, that is okay, and you will have the experience of learning our transformational work in a totally new and pioneering context.

Q: I can't purchase a course / my card is declined.

A: From Moretolife.academy Tech Knowledgebase:

  • Card processing issues are often caused by a restriction set by the cardholder's bank. From insufficient funds to an overzealous fraud system, payment failures can happen for a number of reasons. As a quick first step, you can always ask your student to try a different card. If they're unable to try that, you may need to do a bit of investigation.

  • Here are some other common issues to look out for:

    • Some debit cards require a PIN to be entered. If the cardholder is trying to use one of these cards, they may need to use another card to make the purchase.

    • Some cards have restrictions on cross-border usage. If the card was issued in a country other than where your business is located, this could be the issue. In this case, you can ask your student to contact their bank to see if they have this restriction, and if they can lift that restriction for this purchase.

    • High-cost items can trigger a fraud warning from the cardholder's bank. Again, in this case, you can ask your student to contact their bank to authorize the purchase.

    • Some cards (often corporate cards or FSA cards) can only be used for certain business categories, like travel or healthcare. In this case, your student may need to use a different card.
